The Meanwhile Prayer
Heavenly Father,
God of perfect timing,
God of every good thing —
I come to You just as I am.
James 1:17 · Habakkuk 2:3 · Matthew 11:28
While I walk in fear,
Meanwhile, You chose me.
While I feel unqualified,
Meanwhile, You chose me.
While I am still broken,
Meanwhile, You chose me.
While I wait and wonder,
Meanwhile, You chose me.
While the world overlooks me,
Meanwhile, You chose me.
Isaiah 41:10 · 1 Corinthians 1:27 · Romans 5:8 · Psalm 147:3 · Isaiah 40:31 · 1 Samuel 16:7
You did not choose me because I was worthy.
You chose me before I ever chose You —
while I was still far off, Your love found me first.
1 John 4:19 · Luke 15:20
So I lay down my fear and pick up Your peace.
I lay down my striving and trust Your timing.
I lay down my shame and receive Your mercy.
1 Peter 5:7 · Philippians 4:7 · Proverbs 3:5 · Lamentations 3:22–23
Rooted in Your grace, let me bear fruit that lasts.
John 15:16
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
